๘๒. ต้นส�ำโรง มุกดำหำร

ต้นส�ำโรง ต้นนี้เป็นต้นที่ใหญ่ที่สุดในจังหวัดมุกดำหำร อยู่ในควำมดูแล
ของชุมชนบ้ำนบำงทรำยใหญ่ อ�ำเภอเมืองมุกดำหำร จังหวัดมุกดำหำร มีอำยุไม่น้อยกว่ำ
๑๐๐ ปี เส้นรอบวง ๓.๕ เมตร ควำมสูง ๓๖ เมตร คนในท้องถิ่นเรียกต้นส้มโพง แตกกิ่งก้ำน
สวยงำม อยู่ในสถำนที่ใกล้กับวัดของชุมชน และอยู่บริเวณศำลเจ้ำปู่อุปฮำดรำชวงศ์
(ดอนปู่ตำ) บ้ำนบำงทรำยใหญ่ ซึ่งเป็นสถำนที่ส�ำคัญที่ชำวบ้ำนให้ควำมเคำรพนับถือ
และมีควำมเชื่อว่ำ ต้นไม้ที่อยู่บริเวณดอนปู่ตำจะไม่สำมำรถตัดได้ เนื่องจำกมีเทวดำ
ดูแลรักษำ ต้นส้มโพงนี้จึงได้รับกำรอนุรักษ์ไว้ให้เป็นสมบัติของหมู่บ้ำน ให้ลูกหลำนได้
ศึกษำและดูแลสืบไป

82. Ton Samrong, Mukdahan

This Samrong tree is the largest tree in Mukdahan Province. It
is under the responsibility of Ban Bang Sai Yai, Mueang Mukdahan District,
Mukdahan Province. It has existed more than 100 years. Its circumference
is 3.5 meters, and the height is 36 meters. The people call this tree as Ton
Som Pong. The tree is beautifully expanding its branches near the temple
and in the area of Chao Pu Uppahad Rachawong Shrine (Don Pu Ta) in Ban
Bang Sai Yai. This place is an important place to which the villagers pay
respect. It is believed that the trees in Don Pu Ta cannot be cut because
there is a guardian angel residing in there. Therefore, this Som Pong tree
has been preserved as a treasure of the village.
