Abstract

	 The research titled โ€Ai-Boon Thong : The Study of Nong Khao Culture for
Conservation and Promotion of the Nong Khao Local Culture in Folk Dramaโ€ aimed to :
(1) synthesize the elements of โ€Ai-Boon Thongโ€ Ban Nong Khao folk drama of Ta Muang
District, Kanchanaburi and (2) study โ€Ai-Boon Thong folk drama, that reflects the cultural
characteristics, the way of life and the local wisdom of the Nong Khao villagers in Ta Muang
District, Kanchanaburi. The sample included villagers, community leaders and government
agencies consisting of Ministry of Tourism and Sports, Nong Khao Subdistrict Administration
Organization, Nong Ya Dok Khao Subdistrict Administration Organization, Intraram Temple
and Intraram School. The purposive sampling was applied. The key informants included
11 philosophers, knowledgeable persons and actors of Ai-Boon Thong. The conceptual of
research applied local wisdom, livelihood and folk drama concepts. The research results
are as follows.
	 1) 	The results of synthesizing elements of โ€Ai-Boon Thongโ€ folk drama of Ban
Nong Khao of Ta Muang District, Kanchanaburi can be summarized as 3 aspects. The first
aspect is that the script of Ai-Boon Thong folk drama consists of 11 episodes as follows.
The 1st episode is about โ€Sugar Palm and Folk Lifestyleโ€, the 2nd episode is about โ€Roy
Phansaโ€, the 3rd episode is about โ€Pleng Puang Malai in Nong Khao Temple Fairโ€, the
4th episode is about โ€Kwan Jookโ€, the 5th episode is about โ€Cock Fighting for the Girlโ€,
the 6th episode is about โ€Folk Life Styleโ€, the 7th episode is about โ€Musical Folk Drama
in Songkran Dayโ€, the 8th episode is about โ€Joining and Helping the Rum Yeiโ€, the 9th
episode is about โ€Beating the Enemy with Dharmaโ€, the 10th episode is about โ€Ox
