                                            Literature

It can be implied that Ramakien is an important literature
which is widely known in Southeast Asia region. In Thailand, Ra-
makien was adopted and recreated into a national literature since
Ayutthaya period and the only literature adapted for Khon perfor-

Those versions of Ramakien later became Thailand important na-
tional literatures. King Rama II and King Rama VI for example, wrote
Kam Phak (recitation script) for Khon performance. A Ramakien
play script which was written by King Rama I was awarded by the
national committee of literature as the best of Ramakien literatures.
