                                                        a stool for the actors to sit upon, but a rail made of
                                                        bamboo trunks lay across the stage so that
                                                        the Khon actors can sit in front of the set-
                                                        ting. There is also a gap between the
                                                        railandasettingfortheactorstobeabletowalkaround.
                                                        When the actors finish their plays they will come to sit
                                                        on the rail.
