The tactics to sustainably preserve the Balan inscription, the Wat Soongmen way, is called the
โ€Inscription-keeping Dharma Disciplineโ€ strategy. The main objective is how to make people happy through
good conduct and how to pass on that happiness to the later generation.
Letโ€s look for the charm in cultural traveling together
The temple has been turned into a tourist attraction. Outsiders can come in to study various aspects
of the temple. People in the community would be awakened and would realise that their own temple has
many good things so much so that people from other parts of the world see the importance of it. The
โ€Takkhamโ€ tradition is the way to preserve the Balan inscription of Wat Soongmen that is different from
anywhere else. It is brought about by Luang Poo Kru Ba Kanchana Arunyaw Vasee Maha Then, former
abbot of Wat Soongmen, a person of Baan Soongmen.
