The Baan Ba-kun-koey is a tourist attraction complete in both nature and the cultural art way of
life of the villagers. There is a trait of cultural tourism that ameliorates the quality of life of the community
making them love and cherish their culture.
The Narration
It is a centre where folk wisdom is passed on like the making of Too-Tong hats which is the wickerwork
of the community. It is a workmanship that builds careers and generates income for the community. The
archaeological sites consist of the Hundred-of-Years Love-Myth Pond, the Toh-Ha-Sun Pond (the cupid pond)
which are ancient ponds. With regards to ancient objects, there are fish traps and the rice-pounding mortars.
As for traditions and culture, there are the Mao-Lid event, the Haree-Raya Day event and the Muslim way
of dress. There are also tools and equipment used in earning oneโ€s life. The emphasis is placed on the
preservation of the traditions and culture as well as the natural resources.
